Legendary Winter Specials at Legends Tavern & Grille
Legends Tavern & Grille is a local gastropub serving up a high-quality menu of traditional bar bites, New American fare, local craft beers and signature cocktails, all within a casual indoor-outdoor backdrop. This year, they launched a seasonal winter menu with 2 new apps, 2 main dishes and a dessert- so you know we tried them all! We dined outdoors at their Plantation location and got all the details for you!
NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER
The New England Clam Chowder is LOADED! This savory cream based soup with bacon, onion, and diced potatoes is a must for bacon-lovers & soup enthusiasts, alike. This hearty starter is the perfect way to warm up this winter!
CRISPY PARMESAN BRUSSELS
These brussels were so good that they *MAY* have even earn their spot on the main menu from all the positive feedback they’ve been receiving! But you didn’t hear that from us. Picture this: a half pound of crispy brussels sprouts tossed in grated parmesan and topped with house-made roasted garlic lemon aioli.
THE POUTINE BURGER
Gravy on a burger? SAY LESS! This hand-pattied 8 oz ground chuck burger is topped with crispy shoestring French fries, Wisconsin White Cheddar cheese curds, and house-made brown gravy. The cheese is laid on thick and the gravy is poured heavy. The soft bun soaked up the gravy but held up perfectly throughout the meal! Its served with a side of coleslaw, but we recommend getting an order of their sweet potato fries.
PANKO CRUSTED PORK CHOPS
This meal tastes like home for the holidays! Two breaded and griddled bone in pork chops, topped with brown gravy and served over sweet mashed potatoes with a side of broccoli. The pork chops are thin and tender with a perfect panko crunch. The sweet potatoes were light and whipped. The broccoli was steamed to perfection.
BROWN BUTTER CAKE
This cake melts in your mouth! Brown butter and real cream cheese baked into a rich cake served warm and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and caramel drizzle. We’re drooling just thinking about it!
Our Take:
You need to get to Legends Tavern & Grille to taste their warm butter cake before its gone! It’s not surprising that dessert was our favorite part, but in the case of this cake, it is something really special. The brussels were cooked perfectly and had a good amount of cheese and sauce on ’em- just the way we like our veggies! If you miss the seasonal specials don’t worry, they have an extensive menu. Be sure to dine at one of their 5 locations throughout south Florida.
