Sushi by Boū recently celebrated its inaugural Tuna Tour and Carving Ceremony- and Doubletake Dines got the inside scoop! This high-energy event was totally different from their typically intimate omakase dining experience. A pump-up playlist hyped up the sold-out audience while celebrity chef David Bouhadana (Sushi by Bou founder) masterfully cut the tuna.

The Japanese term omakase translates to “I leave it up to you,” and after witnessing Bouhadana’s famed carving skills LIVE, we would trust him with ANY meal! The night started with Bouhadana and two assistants lifting the 200-pound tuna onto the counter for carving. As Bouhadana carved each section of the massive fish, he and his team prepared specialty sushi courses from the massive tuna caught off the shores of Japan and flown in that morning. Throughout the evening, waiters passed sushi pairings complemented by signature cocktails designed specifically for the culinary occasion. There were plenty of fun photo ops throughout the event and the chef even gave guests the opportunity to carve sections of the fish.

The Tuna Tour will make stops at Sushi by Boū locations throughout Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico.
